Pretty much. AI might help diagnose the problem or plan the job, but someone still has to climb the ladder, open the wall, fix the wiring, and deal with whatever nightmare is leaking under the house.

The question with these and other physical jobs is largely about robotics. Regardless of what Musk or the oracle guy says, companies/governments still need to do jobs now, and unless there's a literal revolution (aka, like with Chinese EVs) in robotics over the next decade, we won't see this happening for a while. AI does an okay job assisting, although I still notice it making simple data mistakes & hallucinations or misinterpreting what is being asked in a way humans won't typically, so until that is solved, there will continue to be a human involved to ensure outputs are accurate, anywhere it matters. Robots like NEO have shown ability to assist around the house, and AI powered ElliQ to communicate with, keep an eye on, and help keep elderly folks sharp and avoiding nursing homes... So these are still a ways off from replacing teachers or trades and other "in person" jobs...

yeah. AI doesn't replace jobs, it just makes it to where 1 person can do what it used to take 15 people to do. like most technological advances. Like factory line jobs for example

The execs at the top collecting money from the work AI is doing.
The most replaceable and the ones that (often) contribute the least. But the ones that reap the most benefit. What a society we live in.
